On this seventh anniversary of the first CPhI China, in 2001, our exhibition continues to grow. Including the additions of ICSE in 2005 and of P-MEC in 2006 – CPhI China has seen exhibitor numbers surge from 756 in 2005 to over 1,350 last year.
Show Highlights
As the show attracted more exhibitors and visitors, the organizer classified exhibitors in a more detailed way. The organizer introduced “Natural Extract Zone”, “Way-finder”, and “Innovation Awards” to boost business leads generated during the show time. How about the newly-added elements? Highlights—Natural Extracts: Over 150 exhibitors will gather in the zone that covers floor area of over 5,000 square meters. Visit the Natural Extracts Zone in the center of Hall E4, and seek your business opportunities. You may also attend the onspot symposiums and get updated with market trends.
way-finder: CPhI has brought its “way-finder” to China. The valueadding service helps buyers find their suppliers and targeted products prior to the show time. Exhibitors submit information of their products to the website www.cphiwayfinder. cn, and website visitors may search information by company name, product category, or booth number. You may also try it at the “way-finder” service points at the entrances of Hall E2, E4, and E6.
Innovation Awards and Technology Development Awards: P-MEC China 2008 will launch its firstever Innovation Awards and Technology Development Awards. The Awards will be clear indication of the organizations that are the leaders in their field, because CPMi,the organizer of the trade show, has invited authoritative experts to form the panel. The metrics include the development of new equipment, process optimization, and R&D of patented products.Tens of companies have applied for the awards soon after the launch announcement.

he CPhI China Show Daily published by Pacific Genuity, Inc. daily during the show reached exhibitors, and visitors, and beyond. It covered show news and events, show highlights, exhibitor profile, and industry analysis. About 20,000 copies of the publication were distributed and well-received by readers.

Match Meeting
On Tuesday, June 24th, 2008, the first-ever “Match Meeting” of international buyers and Chinese suppliers took place. As part of the Global Buyers VIP Delegation, buyers from various
companies such as Johnson & Johnson and USA Neutracenticals came to the match meeting after participating in half-a-day’s worth of events at CPhI China 2008 and the International Forum.
Forum and c-GMP training
The forum on June 24 and June 25 has themes of “pharmaceutical manufacturing excellence” and “global sourcing from China” respectively. Speakers and attendees exchanged opinions and ideas during the forum. The c-GMP training attracted many attendees who made notes and asked questions frequently. 98% of the attendees are satisfied with the forum and training. They also hope eChinaChem, Inc., the organizer of the events, to bring more such events later.
