| China to issue the national standard of vehicle-use methanol-gasoline M15
China will issue the national standard of vehicle-use methanol gasoline M15 later this year, according to the source from China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association recently. The trial run of 8 kilometers before the issue is required, and 3 to 5 kms trial run has been completed so far.

| China's Economic Performance in May from Breakdown Data
To calculate the GDP growth, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China always reported the monthly production (or industrial) value added, breakdown by 40 industrial sectors, in which the chemical industry are divided into seven sectors. The production value added for the chemical industry in the first five months increased 7.5% over the year-ago period, with a 12.6% growth in May alone.

| Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010 to be published next year
The 2010 edition of Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China will be published at the beginning of next year and be put into effect from July 1, 2010.
Significant expansion of monographs and appendices are made in the new edition. The edition contains up to 1174 monographs of drugs with 269 new admissions in total.

| BlueStar NCM to Spend RMB3.8 BLN in Two Silicone Projects
BlueStar New Chemical Material Co., Ltd. (BlueStar NCM, SH: 600299) said on July 11th that its Jiangxi Blue Star Chemical Work plans to build a 400 000 t/a silicone monomer project phase I and a 120 000 t/a facility for silicone downstream products.
Based in Yongxiu county, Jiangxi province, Jiangxi Blue Star Chemical Work engages in the manufacture and development of silicone products, with R & D centers.

| The main structure of China's largest oil wharf wrapped up in Ningbo
According to the China Communication and Contruction Company Ltd., the main structure of Ningbo Daxie CPNC (China National Petroleum Corporation) oil wharf with 300,000-tonnage handling capacity completed the construction ahead of schedule recently. The wharf under construction will be the largest in China in terms of oil handling capacity.

| Projection on the Twelfth Petrochemical Five-year Program
In 2006 - 2008, China's petroleum and chemical industry experienced a boosted peak period like nothing that was ever seen before, with market trade being active, units operating at high loads, enterprises enjoying good financial results, adjustment of industrial structure accelerating, a good change being witnessed in the mode of economic growth, and better result in optimizing development. The yearly average growth of production value in China's petroleum and chemical industry was 21.25% in the period of 2006 to 2008, that of industrial value added and sales revenue were 18.28% and 21.5% respectively, all higher than China's GDP growth and the growth of chemical industry in developed countries in the same period. Now China leads globally in production capacity and output for many petrochemicals.
