It consists of twelve chapters including the industry overview (reviews the present scenario for the global chemical industry, segmental performance of the chemicals and outlook.), industry trends, growth drivers related to the industry, major issues and challenges the industry has been facing in the recent times, application of technology, major markets associated with the sector, the major players driving the industry, regulatory aspects, mergers and acquisitions and critical success factors related to the business of chemistry. The segments of the industry covered are commodity chemicals, specialty and fine chemicals, agrochemicals and fertilizers and industrial gases segment. This report, however, does not cover pharmaceuticals.
